Time for a new sketchbook. What a treat it is to begin a new book of drawings ideas, rants, future work and some ghastly intimate details that I usually dare not read afterwards. Sketchbooks mean everything to me. I rarely leave home without it and when I do its a disaster. I always draw, and its far more pleasant to jot down ideas in the confines of my portable mind. I have my standards, but occasionally deviate just to change things up. The usual criteria is, must be 5" x 7" to comfortably fit into an average size purse, it absolutely must have nice paper to glue, paint, draw, and of course write on. Finally much like a little black dress there is absolutely no substitute for a little black book...which usually makes its way along with a little black dress wherever I go. So...if you spot me at a coffee shop, bar, formal event, lecture, party or whatever...I'm probably stuck in the little black book world. Not anti-social, just an introvert, You can have a peak just DON'T READ ANYTHING!

Personally I feel like public work is the definitive form of expression and its available for everyone to enjoy.  Perhaps I can do some of that while I get my tattoo thing in order. The thing with tattooing is that it’s a personal reflection of that inner humanity, its art, and physical and psychological therapy: the most intimate and personal form of expression. They say you’ll never forget the person who tattooed you, and I’d like to spend the time to be someone you have a positive memory of...
