K H No.7 grew up in the San Fernando Valley, where she attended preschool and discovered her love for drawing. At a very young age she was incredibly detail oriented; making sure she drew every last scale on her eight-headed monsters. This obsession with detail, further progressed into a fascination with the scientific and mechanical worlds. For several years she even attended medical school, only to find satisfaction with art and the art world. She had the privilege of attending one of the country’s top design schools; a journey which took her far away from drawing and in her last year of school, she was exposed to the art of Ed Fella; discovering a newfound love for collage. Her ever-growing collection of mid-century catalogs, magazines, and cookbooks constantly provides her with inspiration and fuel to create new and meaningful work. In 2010, KH No. 7 took her art to the streets of Los Angeles; instantly greeted with praise and demand. The act of putting her art out on the streets drove her to continue, acquainted to another way of showing her artwork to thousands of people without ever having to sign a contract. Presently, KH No.7 continues creating new works and taking them to the streets; exposing Los Angeles to her unique perspective and vernacular. One of her most recognizable images is the Champion spark plug, which symbolizes the genesis of creative thought and progression to create.
